In light of the growing interest in entrepreneurial diversity across the globe, this conference aims to facilitate discussions and kickstart interdisciplinary research projects on the challenges and opportunities associated with entrepreneurial diversity in the face of digitalization. The conference brings together scholars, practicioners and students from a wide range of disciplines to consider entrepreneurial diversity in the context of (digital) innovation.
Questions to explore from an interdisciplinary angle include:
We are inviting interdisciplinary scholars and practitioners to share their experiences and assemble the current state of knowledge (Day 1) and to identify interdisciplinary research projects on Day 2 of the event.
Day 1 provides a platform for scholars and practitioners to share their experiences and bring together the state of the knowledge on the conference theme. Short presentations in the ‘Ignite’ format will allow all participants to share their ideas. The day will conclude with a panel discussion to identify unsolved challenges and research potentials.
On day 2 scholars and practitioners are invited to pitch their ideas for research projects and/or interesting data sets that might advance research on entrepreneurial diversity in a digital age. The aim is for interdisciplinary teams to form and kickstart their research projects, with support from senior scientists.
The ‘hello diversity’ conference aims to discuss the core questions of this conference and to:
Our goal is to bring together an interdisciplinary audience of scholars, practicioners and students from different fields, e.g. entrepreneurship, management and computer sciences, to share their experiences, observations and thoughts on the conference theme.
(Research) Topics of interest for the conference include – but are not limited – to:

Conference attendees have the opportunity to meet both editors on 28 June to discuss potential paper ideas and get suggestions and advice to prepare submissions to the special issue.
The registration for the conference will open 1st of March 2019. Researchers and practitioners who want to pitch a research idea or
data set at the ‘Paperthon’ may submit their proposals until 26 April 2019 to firstname.lastname@example.org (one pager that describes the general idea and/or data set).
