Data for Life Podcast

Dr. Katharina Lauer and Professor Hannes Rothe started the podcast series “Data for Life” that is presented by ELIXIR. In the introductory episode, the hosts describe why this is the perfect time for an entrepreneurship scholar and a virologist to join forces. From this point forward, the podcast includes conversations with founders, managers, investors, and scientists who engage in #entrepreneurship and #innovation with #biodata.

In the upcoming episodes, among others, the podcast will tour the European bio data venture landscape while talking with Dr. Maria Chatzou DunfordHans Garritzen, and Abel Ureta-Vidal.

Seit dem 9. Juni 2018 koordiniert der Digital Entrepreneurship Hub offiziell die Entrepreneurship Education und bündelt die Entrepreneurship Research an der Freie Universität Berlin. Neben der Gründerin Janina Sundermeier und den beiden Gründern Martin Gersch und Hannes Rothe begrüßten Vizepräsident Professor Hoffmann-Holland, die Professoren Günter Faltin und Jochen Koch sowie Professorin Kerstin Ettl den DEH.

Nach den Begrüßungsworten gaben wir einen Überblick über die bunte Welt der (digitalen) Gründungslehre an der FU Berlin, die sich an SchülerInnen ebenso richtet wie an Bachelor- und Masterstudierende sowie Doktoranden und Postdocs. Anschließend diskutierten wir, ob es einen Widerspruch zwischen “Exzellenter Wissenschaft und Gründung” gibt. Zum Thema “”(Un-)Vereinbarkeit von Unternehmensgründung und Familie” richteten wir den Blick auf die Rolle der Diversität im Gründungsprozess.
